Ancient Engineering Under Investigation

Ancient monumental engineering becomes more impressive, not less, when the mystery is narrowed. The evidence repeatedly points toward quarry knowledge, simple tools used skillfully, friction management, planned routes, leverage, ropes, sledges, ramps and very large organized labor forces. At several sites, the exact operational sequence remains debated.
